Avega members can use their dental benefit at the clinics on Avega's affiliated dental list, which you download from the Downloadables page of Avega's website. The September 2026 list has about 900 clinic entries. Roughly a third are in Metro Manila, with big clusters in Calabarzon, Cebu, Iloilo and Davao. At the clinic you show your Avega card (or the Digi-ID in the Avega Agora app) plus one valid ID, and the clinic checks your eligibility before treatment.

What your dental benefit actually covers is a separate question. Avega sells corporate programs only, and each employer designs its own. So your dental inclusions come from your company's plan, not from a standard Avega package. The quickest way to check is the Agora app or Avega's 24/7 hotline at (02) 8789-4030 / (02) 7902-3430.

What Avega Is, and Why Your Plan Is Different From Your Friend's

Avega Managed Care, Inc. was incorporated in April 2011 and launched that July. It describes itself as a third-party administrator (TPA) managed-care HMO, and its site says it is an affiliate of Intellicare, Aventus Medical Care and Singapore-based Fullerton Health. The Avega homepage also shows its Insurance Commission registration number and its membership in the Association of Health Maintenance Organizations of the Philippines (AHMOPI).

Its main product, Premier TPA, is fund-based. The employer pays for the services its employees actually use, plus network access, utilization and administrative fees. You get cashless visits at affiliated providers. The employer decides which benefits go into the program, and dental is one of the options Avega lists, alongside in-patient, out-patient, preventive, emergency and maternity care.

In practice, this means two Avega cardholders at different companies can have very different dental benefits. One may get a yearly cleaning and simple extractions. Another may have no dental at all.

What Dental Benefits Do Avega Plans Include?

Avega doesn't publish a standard dental package. Its FAQ page says your coverage depends on the program your company chose, and that you can check your inclusions in Avega Agora, through the customer service hotlines, or with your HR.

Before you book, get clear answers to these questions:

  • Is dental included at all? Some programs leave it out.
  • How many cleanings a year? And is deep scaling covered, or only routine cleaning?
  • Extractions: simple bunot only, or also surgical removal (for example, wisdom teeth)?
  • Fillings: temporary only, or permanent pasta too? How many teeth?
  • Is there a peso limit on dental per year?
  • Which dental list applies to your company? Avega's downloadables include more than one (see below).

For context, corporate HMO dental benefits in the Philippines usually center on consultations, cleaning, simple extractions and basic fillings. Braces, crowns, dentures, implants and whitening are almost always outside the benefit. Our Maxicare vs Medicard vs Intellicare dental comparison shows how the big HMOs typically draw that line. If your plan doesn't include cleaning, our dental cleaning cost guide shows what you'd pay out of pocket.

Which Dental Clinics Accept Avega?

Avega's Downloadables page links to three dental lists, all shared as Google Sheets:

  • Affiliated Dental Clinics: about 900 clinic entries as of September 2026, with branches counted separately. Each entry has the clinic's hours, phone numbers and full address.
  • Affiliated Dentists: individual dentists with their clinic, schedule and specialization.
  • Dental Network Company: a separate list of roughly 900 dentists with its own hotline numbers. It also carries a reminder that clinics may charge separately for PPE, that PPE costs are outside members' benefits and can't be reimbursed, and that you should ask the dentist about the PPE charge when you book.

Here's how the September 2026 Affiliated Dental Clinics list breaks down by area. We counted the entries ourselves:

RegionClinic entriesBiggest cities on the list

Northern Mindanao22Cagayan de Oro 8
All other regions combined58Thin coverage: Eastern Visayas, Cagayan Valley and MIMAROPA have 1โ€“3 entries each

A few things to know when you read the list:

  • Check the date. The sheet says affiliation status is updated constantly and can change without notice. A clinic on the list in September may not be accepting Avega by the time you visit.
  • The header names Intellicare's hotline. The clinic list tells readers to call Intellicare customer service for updates, which suggests the two affiliates share a dental list. As an Avega member, call Avega's hotline about your own coverage.
  • Some entries say "Avega member only." Three clinics on the September list carry this note.

If you're in Angeles or San Fernando, our Pampanga dental clinic guide lists clinics there by street, with the HMOs each one names.

One example from our directory: Oral Wellness Dental Clinic in Mandaluyong is on Avega's September 2026 affiliated clinic list and lists Avega among the HMOs it accepts. Confirm before visiting. Avega's list shows it works by appointment.

Avega's Agora app and web portal also have a physician directory and a map of nearby affiliated facilities, which are easier to use on a phone than a 900-row spreadsheet.

How to Use Your Avega Card at the Dentist

Avega's dental availment procedure is short. Here it is, plus the steps that save you from surprise bills:

  1. Confirm your dental benefit first. Check the Agora app, call the hotline, or ask HR what's included and how many visits you have left.
  2. Pick a clinic from the list or the app, then call it. Ask: "Are you still accepting Avega?" and "Is my procedure covered under HMO billing?" Then book. Avega's procedure assumes you show up on a confirmed appointment, not as a walk-in.
  3. Bring your Avega card or Digi-ID, plus one valid ID. The Digi-ID is in the Avega Agora app, so register on the app before you need it.
  4. Let the clinic validate you, then ask what's covered before treatment. If the dentist finds something outside your benefit, such as a permanent filling your plan doesn't include, get the price before you agree to it.
  5. Know where the e-RCS/LOA comes from. Avega's dental steps don't mention an LOA. If the clinic asks for one, you can generate an e-RCS/LOA in the Agora app, the Agora web portal or eRCS Express. To cancel one, call the hotline with your reference number.
  6. If you're asked to pay for something you think is covered, call Avega customer service from the clinic. The FAQ says this is exactly what the hotline is for.

Two rules from the FAQ worth knowing. Care from a doctor who isn't affiliated with Avega isn't reimbursable except in emergencies. If you have a dentist you like who isn't on the list, you or your HR can ask Avega to affiliate them, but the dentist has to pass Avega's evaluation and accept its payment terms. Our guide on how to use HMO dental benefits covers more of these counter-side tips.

Lost your card? You can keep using the Digi-ID in Agora. Report the loss to HR and to Avega within 24 hours. A replacement card needs an affidavit of loss and costs โ‚ฑ100 plus 12% VAT, according to the FAQ.

Recent Changes Avega Members Should Know

  • AXA health customers moved to Maxicare. According to AXA Philippines' transition FAQ, Maxicare replaced Avega as the medical service provider for AXA customers with health plans (including Global Health Access and Health Care Access), effective March 3, 2025. If your health coverage comes through an AXA policy and you still have an old Avega-serviced card, follow AXA's instructions and use Maxicare's network. AXA customer care is (02) 8581-5292.
  • Affiliations move. Avega's lists are dated and carry a "may change without prior notice" warning. Calling ahead is the single best way to avoid paying walk-in rates.
  • No reported card disputes that we found. As of October 2026, we found no Insurance Commission advisory or major news report about dental clinics refusing Avega cards or about provider payment disputes. That's not a guarantee for any particular clinic, so still confirm before you go.

How Avega Compares With the Bigger HMOs

The dental benefits list isn't really where Avega differs from the big names. It differs in how the plan is built and who can buy it:

  • Avega vs Intellicare. They're affiliates, and the dental routine is almost the same: book from the dental list, present your card, avail the benefit. Intellicare also has you sign a Dental RCS after the procedure. The hotlines are different, though. Intellicare is (02) 8789-4000 / (02) 7902-3400, and Avega is (02) 8789-4030 / (02) 7902-3430. Call the one printed on your card. Our Intellicare dental guide covers that side.
  • Avega vs Maxicare. Maxicare sells full HMO plans to individuals and families as well as prepaid health cards. Avega's FAQ says it offers corporate programs only, with no individual or family plans.
  • Your benefits end with your job. Avega coverage is tied to your employment. The FAQ says to surrender the card before you resign, and any use after you leave is billed to you. If you're between jobs or freelancing, look at prepaid dental plans instead.
  • Your employer decides how much dental you get. Because Premier TPA is fund-based, the comparison that matters is your company's benefit schedule, not "Avega vs Maxicare" in general.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Avega the same as Intellicare?

No, they're separate companies but affiliates in the same group, according to Avega's website. They have different hotlines and member portals, so use the contact details for the HMO named on your card.

Does Avega cover dental cleaning?

Only if your employer's program includes dental. Avega designs each corporate plan separately, so check your inclusions in the Agora app, call (02) 8789-4030, or ask HR.

How do I get an Avega LOA for the dentist?

Avega's dental steps only ask for your card or Digi-ID and one valid ID at an affiliated clinic. If the clinic asks for an e-RCS/LOA, generate one in the Avega Agora app, the Agora web portal or eRCS Express, or call the hotline for help.

What is the Avega hotline number?

The 24/7 lines are (02) 7902-3430 and (02) 8789-4030. There are also 24/7 mobile lines (Globe 0917 840 4894, Smart 0920 970 4724) and regional hotlines listed on Avega's Contact Us page.

Can I buy an Avega plan as an individual?

No. Avega's FAQ says it currently offers corporate healthcare programs only. Individuals usually look at prepaid cards or individual plans from other HMOs.

Can I use my Avega card at a dentist who isn't affiliated?

Not for regular dental care. Avega's FAQ says non-affiliated care isn't reimbursable except in emergencies. You can ask Avega, through HR, to affiliate your dentist, but approval isn't automatic.
